December Newsletter

Dear Families,

Happy December!  We are a flurry of glitter and reindeer at VNS! We

can’t wait to see all of you at our Holiday shows your teachers will let

you know the day and time of your show. Please keep in mind that there

may be multiple shows and other activities going on at the church.

Please plan to give yourself extra time in case you need to park in the

plaza or up at the Intermediate school.

It is once again time for tuition to be turned in. Please make sure you

turn all checks in no later than  December, 8th.  It is very helpful to Barb

if you write your child’s name on the memo line of your check. Thank

you in advance for your cooperation.

Pre 3’s $435.00

3’s $540.00

4’s 675.00

5’s 705.00

We have a new locked door policy. This is something that we have been

talking about for awhile. As you may have noticed all year we have only

had one door unlocked. At this time ALL of our doors leading into the

preschool will be locked from the outside. If you need to be let in please

call-  440-247-6490 ext 520

Thank you so much for your cooperation in helping to keep us safe.

December 16th will be our last day of school for the Holiday Break. We

will come back to school on January 5th.

In the event that we have a snow day or any other calamity day I will

send out a mass email blast. I will also post it on Face Book and the

school website. We follow Chagrin Falls Schools for all snow days. If it is

a day off due to power if the Intermediate School is out so are we.

Please make sure you have all of your child’s outdoor clothing labeled

with their name. Boots are not necessary to wear to school. Our

sidewalks are pretty well shoveled. If your child does wear boots to

school please have them bring a pair of shoes to change into.

We will begin registration for next year in mid January.  Look for

information to come home then. If you have friends or family who

would like to join us next year please have them call me 440-759-8953.

From all of us at Village Nursery School we wish you a safe healthy and

happy Holiday season! We can’t wait to see you in the new year!

Take care,

November News

Dear Families,

The year is rushing by as always. I wanted to take a few minutes to

update you on what has been happening and what to look forward to.

October found us getting a chance to meet with all of you for Open

House. Thank you all so much for attending.

Many of our friends had a great afternoon with the Federated Churches

Prime Time adults and a visit from Jungle Terry!! They were so brave

holding the big Banana Python!

We also had our first round of very successful field trips.  Eddy’s Apple

Farm, Kelly’s Working Well Farm and the Library! Everyone is looking

forward to more outings.

Our days were full of Halloween fun! Our rooms all looked super cute

and not scary at all.  We each had a very successful Halloween show. We

hope that you enjoyed the fun songs and great costumes. I hope you are

looking forward to our Holiday shows.

We would like to thank Mindy Gerates for taking our class pictures. I

had the chance to preview them and they are fantastic! They should be

coming home soon.

The 4’s and 5’s learned so much from Mrs. Fritz when she taught us all

about eating healthy! Thank you!

We are looking forward to a super visit from Fairmont Art Center on

Tuesday, October 10th. We will have a dance lesson and an art lesson!

Watch for a flyer with class information to come home.

November will find us busily getting ready for Thanksgiving. Each class

will be learning a little bit about turkeys, and the first Thanksgiving. I

always love hearing what the children think happened on the first

Thanksgiving!  The 3’s will make homemade butter and cornbread. The

4’s and 5’s will be having a communal feast.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving we well be participating in the Federated

Church’s Thanksgiving food drive. Each class will be collecting canned

goods to add to the display upstairs. Please send all items in by

November20th. Thank you!

November 25th-27th Thanksgiving Break

We wish you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Take care,
